Mountain Passes and Pride Buses | WINTER PRIDE '19

The Queenstown Lakes region has 4 mountain resorts. This year we are partnering with three resorts to provide our On-Mountain Series of Events: Cardrona Alpine Resort and the two NZSki Mountains (The Remarkables and Coronet Peak).

How the Mountain Passes and Pride Bus Passes work...

How the Mountain Passes and Pride Bus Passes work...

Get your mountain passes for Winter Pride's festival mountain partners Cardrona, Coronet Peak and The Remarkable (NZSki) - and enjoy our free Winter Pride mountain guides, a pride-filled lunch area on each mountain, with DJ/Live music.

The Winter Pride festival moves the fun around the mountains over the week. So make sure that you join us on the right mountain each day - can't wait to see you there.

If you are unfamiliar with how the different mountains work then please read this carefully. Cardrona is a separate mountain from the NZSki mountains (Coronet and The Remarkables). To use all mountain festival days on all mountains, you need a "COMBO". We suggest that you look at the dates and mountains above and think about how many days you need on each mountain. Download the full ON-MOUNTAIN schedule by clicking on the download button below.

For instance, if you are coming

  • for the first or last weekend, you need a 2 day Combo (1 day on each mountain)
  • for a long weekend 4 days - you probably need a 4 day Combo
  • for 8 + days - you probably need the 8 day combo
And if you are doing more of a pick and choose, look at the actual days you want to go up the mountain because a single mountain pass may better suit your needs.

And there are the incredibly easy Pride Buses daily, where you can meet up with mates and truly not worry about the hassle of self-drive up icy and rough 4x4 roads at altitude.

The Pride Buses will pick up and drop off guests from our key partner hotels in Queenstown. The buses leave at 8 am (times vary depending on your stop) and return by 5 pm. You will receive more specific details on pick up and drop off after you do your final registration for passes in early August. Please note, all guests who purchase Pride Bus tickets will need to register online (follow instructions on your email) in order to be included on the final bus manifest. Please ensure that you follow the registration instructions so that you can catch your bus!

Pick up and drop offs from (details to be confirmed on bus registration) (The Mercure, Peppers Beacon, Go Orange (Cardrona days) / The Station, The Novotel, The Copthorne, Frankton Bus Shelter).

The passes give you full access to the mountain for the number of days listed on your chosen mountain pass during Winter Pride '19.

And now for a few administrative details: When purchasing this pass it is essential that you provide your date of birth, first name, last name, email address and mobile phone number, otherwise we won't be able to register you with the mountain to get your pass. Please note that your details will be passed on to our partner provider companies for bus and mountain access. If you are purchasing more than one pass, Winter Pride will contact you and request the additional pass holders details.

If you buy a pass which includes Pride Buses, you will be emailed and will need to follow the instructions on that email to register for your specific bus rides.

PASS VALIDITY DATES: The dates that the passes are valid for are the dates of the Winter Pride festival - 30 August to 9 September 2019. Sales of these pass through Winter Pride close on 1 August 2019. Please note that the "event time" on this pass is August 30th 2019 - and passes are valid for the duration of the Winter Pride '19 Festival (until 9 September 2019).
